IT Project Manager (Data Centre Decommissioning)

London (3 Days Hybrid)

Initial 6 Month Contract

£750-£850 per day

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of data centre decommissioning projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, budgets, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate the retirement, migration, or disposal of infrastructure, applications, and associated services.
• Manage third-party suppliers, contract obligations, and decommissioning activities.
• Oversee asset disposal processes, ensuring appropriate governance and compliance requirements are met.
• Ensure service continuity throughout transition and decommissioning activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering data centre decommissioning or data centre exit
• Strong IT project management background with responsibility for complex technical change initiatives.
• Experience managing application decommissioning, migration programmes, infrastructure rationalisation, and asset disposal activities.
• Knowledge of supplier management, contract management, and commercial governance.
