£500 - £600 per day / Inside IR35 / 3 days per week onsite

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft 365) to join a high-performing enterprise IT function. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing a modern end-user computing environment, leveraging Microsoft technologies including M365, Intune, Azure, and Entra ID.

You will play a key role in maintaining a secure, resilient, and high-performing Modern Workplace platform, while working closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 3rd line support across the Modern Workplace environment
  • Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

Act as an SME for Microsoft Intune, including:

  • Device enrolment & compliance
  • Policy configuration & security controls
  • Application deployment & lifecycle management
  • Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning

Support identity and security solutions, including:

  • Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, SSO, Conditional Access
  • Defender for Endpoint and Zero Trust architectures

Troubleshoot complex issues across:

  • Windows OS, O365 apps, authentication, and connectivity
  • Deliver and support application packaging and deployment
  • Utilise PowerShell scripting for automation and efficiency
  • Work with third-party suppliers to ensure service delivery
  • Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, KBAs, and standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in an enterprise environment (5+ years)

Deep knowledge of:

  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Microsoft Intune (MDM & MAM)
  • Azure / Entra ID in hybrid environments
  • Proven experience with Windows 3rd line support and troubleshooting tools
  • Application packaging experience (e.g., PSADT, ORCA, MSI creation)
  • Experience supporting Teams as a unified communications platform
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication abilities
