Customer Implementation Apprentice

To support and drive the successful on-boarding of new business/new customers all sectors and sales channels (BC, MNC, CSI) for road, air, sea and customs.
To ensure that all customer and supporting business requirements are communicated and trained to all stakeholders.

Role

  • Support customer implementation projects to ensure customer requirements and agreed timelines are achieved.
  • Receive and gather information required to fulfil implementation activities.
  • Document processes and procedures, including the creation of Customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support coordination between UK Sales, the UK and Global Implementation community, and Operational colleagues.Interact with customers as a key point of contact during implementation activities.
  • Assist with the rollout of procedures through email communication and Teams meetings.
  • Monitor adherence to agreed customer requirements during the implementation transition and Hypercare period.
  • Update and maintain internal project management tools.
  • Support the use of project management best practices, DePICT methodology and DHL Service Standards (DSS).
  • Ensure implementation procedures and timelines are followed.
  • Assist with completing all relevant implementation tasks and documentation.
  • Provide project status updates to management and project stakeholders as required.
     

Training

On-the-job training delivered by the employer.
Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and mathematics minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training.
Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop.
Identify, track and support 6 hours off-the-job training activities.
Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps.

The apprenticeship will initially be a 24-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC), with the aim that apprentices either move onto a further apprenticeship or a permanent role  within the business – subject to a suitable vacancy being available and in line with the selection process for the role.
