Legal Engineer — Leading Law Firm (London or Leeds office)
What the role is about
Join the legal engineering team supporting a leading law firm's delivery centre — helping attorneys, paralegals, and lawyers work more efficiently through better processes, smarter workflows, and the right technology. This role can be based out of either the London or Leeds office.
What you'll do
- Help bring new legal work into the delivery team and turn it into smooth, repeatable processes
- Spot opportunities to improve how work gets done — speed, cost, quality — and lead projects to make it happen
- Keep an eye on service issues, figure out root causes, and fix them so they don't recur
- Share good solutions across teams so wins in one area help others
- Introduce and manage relevant technology to support better processes
What you'll need
- Experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, legal tech company, or consultancy
- Comfort with legal tech tools (e.g. DocuSign, iManage, Power Automate, Harvey) and a general grasp of Generative AI
- A track record of driving process improvement in a legal setting
- Strong project management skills and sharp attention to detail, even under tight deadlines
- Confidence building trust with different stakeholders across the business
- Solid Microsoft Office skills and the ability to pick up new tools fast
- Resilience, reliability, and a genuine interest in an alternative legal career path
- Great communication and relationship-building skills
Nice to have
- Experience with BPMN process modelling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement qualification is a plus
