Senior SharePoint Developer & Administrator
London/Hybrid - Leading International Law Firm
We are working with a leading international law firm in London to recruit a Senior SharePoint Developer & Administrator. This is a key role focused on modernising and supporting enterprise SharePoint environments across SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) and SharePoint Online.
You will combine hands-on development with platform administration, playing a central role in migrating legacy SharePoint 2016 solutions to modern architecture, while ensuring performance, security, and stability across the environment. You’ll collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, with occasional out-of-hours support required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint SE and SharePoint Online solutions
- Lead migration of SharePoint 2016 environments, including rewriting legacy web parts using SPFx
- Build modern SPFx solutions using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and REST APIs
- Design and enhance SharePoint Online intranet platforms
- Administer and support SharePoint environments (patching, upgrades, monitoring, governance)
- Integrate SharePoint with internal and third-party systems via REST APIs and Microsoft Graph
- Configure Business Connectivity Services (BCS) and external data integrations
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support BAU operations
- Contribute to documentation, best practices, and platform improvements
Key Requirements
- Strong experience with SharePoint SE (on-prem) and SharePoint Online
- Proven track record migrating SharePoint 2016 to modern platforms
- Expertise in SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, C#, and .NET
- Solid SharePoint administration experience (patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
- Experience with SQL Server and BCS/External Content Types
- Strong understanding of SharePoint security, governance, and authentication
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience with large-scale intranet platforms
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform and Azure services
- Relevant Microsoft certifications
