Onsite Deskside Support Engineer - London
Job Description We are seeking a customer-focused and enthusiastic Deskside Support Engineer with a passion for solving IT challenges and delivering exceptional user experiences. This is a fully site-based role supporting one of our valued clients, including VIP users, where professionalism, technical expertise, and excellent communication are key. Location: London Paddington Office You’ll be part of a collaborative IT support team, providing hands-on technical assistance across a range of devices and platforms. If you enjoy working directly with users, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have a solid foundation in desktop support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to all users, including VIPs, with confidence and professionalism.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows platforms.
- Build and deploy PCs, patch network points, and resolve printer and connectivity issues.
- Maintain and update site-specific documentation and knowledgebase articles.
- Collaborate effectively with internal support teams and third-party vendors.
- Manage incidents, IMACs (Install, Move, Add, Change), and project-related tasks.
- Use remote support tools and ticketing systems to track and resolve issues.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (current and legacy).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune, etc.).
- Experience with Windows imaging techniques (network and local).
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Skilled in desktop and printer configuration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ticket management systems and remote desktop tools.
- Comfortable working alongside third-party vendors and service providers.
