SAP PS Senior Consultant - S/4HANA

Job Description

Here at DXC we continue to grow our SAP practice. We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Senior Consultant who will design and deliver project financial control and execution capabilities in a Greenfield S/4HANA transformation. The role focuses on Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), cost planning, budgeting, and FI/CO integration, enabling accurate and transparent project accounting. As part of the wider EPPM team, the PS Consultant will work closely with Finance, Procurement, and PMO stakeholders to embed project control into enterprise reporting and compliance frameworks.

Due to the nature of our client accounts Security Clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a British National and have resided and worked in the UK continuously for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client workshops to capture project planning, budgeting, and tracking requirements
  • Configure WBS structures, networks, milestones, and cost planning to support client-specific project models
  • Design and implement budgeting, forecasting, and project settlement processes integrated with FI/CO
  • Support project-related procurement flows (MM) and revenue processes (SD/CPM)
  • Prepare and validate functional specifications for custom developments, reports, and enhancements
  • Contribute to data migration activities, including open WBS balances, commitments, and project budgets
  • Support testing cycles (SIT/UAT), prepare test scripts, and ensure exit criteria for project accounting are met
  • Document system design, configuration, and user procedures; support knowledge transfer and hypercare

Experience & Skills

  • Strong delivery background in SAP PS (ECC or S/4HANA), with hands-on configuration expertise
  • Knowledge of project accounting, controlling integration, and statutory/management reporting
  • Familiarity with Fiori apps for PS (Project Cost Reports, WBS Editor, Project Builder)
  • Exposure to Defence/Public Sector environments is desirable

  • SAP S/4HANA PS, EPPM suite
  • SAP Fiori apps for PS
  • SAP Activate methodology
  • Solution Manager / ALM for documentation and change control

Soft Skills

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills
  • Confident working with Finance Controllers, PMO teams, and project managers
  • Clear communicator, able to translate technical design into business language
