We are seeking a highly skilled API Developer to join our growing technology team in London. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in API management platforms, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices, who can build scalable and secure APIs within a financial services environment.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust API ecosystems that power critical business applications.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs
- Work with API management platforms like Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft
- Implement APIs aligned with OpenAPI Specification (OAS) standards
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and operational stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end API solutions
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud-native environments
- Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices in API development
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- Formal training or certification in API Management Platforms
- Strong hands-on experience in system design, application development, and testing
- Advanced proficiency in Golang and/or Lua scripting
- Experience with API management tools such as Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft
- Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for REST APIs
- Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Practical experience in cloud-native development
- Solid understanding of financial services systems and architecture
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, MSK)
- Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway
- Strong expertise in Golang
- Experience with Lua scripting
