AI Copilot Developer - 7 months - Up to £520 pd inside ir35 - 3 days per week in London

My client is a global leading IT consultancy. They are on the hunt for an AI Copilot Developer to design, build and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance employee productivity, automate business processes and improve user experiences across the organisation.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications, Microsoft Copilot solutions and AI-powered business workflows. The role requires a strong combination of software engineering capability, cloud expertise and a practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering and enterprise AI governance.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Proven experience developing Generative AI applications in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI services.
• Experience building conversational AI or chatbot solutions.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Strong software development skills using one or more languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience working with REST APIs and enterprise system integrations.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, grounding techniques and AI optimisation practices.
• Experience implementing secure, scalable and supportable AI solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills

• Financial Services or Investment Banking experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise-wide Microsoft Copilot deployments.
• Knowledge of Azure OpenAI Service and AI Foundry capabilities.
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Experience integrating vector databases and enterprise search platforms.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, AI governance and data privacy controls.
• Experience working with Power Platform, Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
