We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Test Analyst to join a highly secure and technically complex programme.

This role would suit a Test Analyst with a strong applications focus, combined with a good understanding of infrastructure, processes and integration. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile engineering team alongside developers and infrastructure specialists.

Due to the nature of the environment, candidates must already hold active and transferable UKSV DV clearance and meet strict nationality requirements.

The Role

You will be responsible for testing applications and infrastructure across complex Windows and Linux environments, supporting the delivery and integration of new capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Running manual tests using approved testing tools
• Designing and producing manual test scenarios and test cases
• Interpreting test results and carrying out initial investigation of failures
• Raising, tracking and managing defects through to resolution
• Supporting application and integration testing across complex environments
• Developing scripts and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Working closely with developers, infrastructure engineers and other technical specialists
• Supporting continuous integration, deployment and testing activities
• Testing solutions across Servers, networks and virtualised environments
• Investigating technical issues and identifying root causes

Essential Experience

We are looking for candidates with strong experience across:

• Software/application testing
• Manual testing and test design
• Windows and Linux operating systems
• CI/CD and Continuous Integration tools
• Test management tools
• Application and infrastructure integration testing
• IT infrastructure including Servers, networks and virtualisation
• Network protocols
• Working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• DevOps principles and modern delivery environments
• Defect investigation and management

Experience working within complex, secure or highly regulated technical environments would be particularly beneficial.

Desirable

• Experience working within Agile/SAFe environments
• Strong problem investigation and analytical skills
• ISTQB Foundation certification
• Previous infrastructure engineering or infrastructure testing experience

Security Clearance - Essential

Applicants must currently hold active and transferable UKSV DV clearance.

Due to the security requirements of this position, applicants must also be sole British nationals and hold only a British/UK passport. Dual nationals and candidates holding overseas citizenship rights/documents such as OCI are unfortunately not eligible.

Your DV clearance must also meet current transferability requirements, including recent use of the clearance within an appropriate UK Government or national security environment.

Candidates without current transferable DV clearance cannot be considered for this position.

This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Test Analyst looking to work within a challenging, technically complex and highly secure environment.

This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required.
