AWS Solutions Architect - 6 months+ - £(Apply online only)pd Inside IR35 - Mostly remote with occasional travel to London or Bristol

Looking for an experienced Solutions Architect or an Enterprise Architect with a technical background. The most important attribute is substantial experience of leading agile software delivery teams under time pressure.

The nature of the work means that the team will often face challenging engineering decisions about whether it is safe to compromise aspects of the process in order to save time, and a this role will need to have enough real-world experience of CI/CD, TDD and Microservice development to arbitrate on those judgement calls.

The architect should have a good working knowledge most of of the following, and a willingness to quickly learn the remainder:

• React
• NodeJS / Typescript back-end development
• Domain-Driven Design
• Microservice architecture
• AWS
• Terraform
• Github Actions-based CI/CD.

Experience of software, data, and infrastructure practices for dealing securely with data at Official-Sensitive classification and with safety-critical implications would be useful. Key skills are the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to C-level stakeholders, and the ability to mediate complex technical discussions within the team. The ability to integrate sensitively and effectively into a well-established team is essential.

Hands-on coding is not essential but the ability to understand implementations at the code level is.
