Technical Lead DV Cleared

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead with active eDV / UK*C / UKIC clearance to guide engineering teams in delivering high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions. Acting as a bridge between architecture and implementation, you will play a critical role in shaping technical direction, supporting decision-making, and enabling teams to deliver effectively in highly secure environments.

This hands-on leadership role requires balancing fast-paced delivery with strategic sustainability, mentoring engineers, championing best practices, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction across multiple teams to ensure aligned, high-quality delivery
• Bridge architecture and engineering, translating strategic objectives into robust technical solutions
• Hands-on involvement in coding, reviewing, and ensuring standards for maintainability and performance
• Mentor and coach engineers, actively supporting professional growth and team development
• Unblock delivery challenges with pragmatic technical decision-making
• Champion engineering best practices, including TDD, CI/CD, code reviews, pair programming, and GitOps
• Promote sustainable approaches to observability, SRE, and DevSecOps in production systems
• Act as a trusted point of contact for both internal and client-facing technical discussions

Key Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong experience with frameworks and tools including Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Deep understanding of modern architecture patterns such as microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and clean architecture
• Experience leading teams in agile delivery environments, ensuring a balance between speed and quality
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and OpenShift, and strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills in secure delivery contexts
