Job Summary:

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales organisation to meet or exceed revenue targets and drive business growth. This role reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be operationally minded, a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and results-driven leader with a proven track record in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement an effective B2B sales process.
  • Lead and develop distributed sales teams to consistently achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Create transparency of sales performance through use of metrics and reporting.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Work with Business Development and Product Management to develop value propositions for various customer profiles.
  • Support Business Development in developing a robust customer pipeline and new market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and other customer facing teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry trends and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or similar subject
  • 8+ years of sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior sales leadership role in B2B solution software sales.
  • Proven track record in complex solution selling, ideally involving software licensing or technical infrastructure.
  • Experience with SaaS business models or High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments is a plus.
  • Experience in the quantum computing industry, with understanding of the ecosystem and customer landscape is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
