About the Opportunity
Our client is a boutique private equity consulting firm advising investors and portfolio companies across performance improvement, value creation, and analytics-led decision making. With growing demand from SaaS-backed assets and PE clients seeking deeper analytical rigour, the firm is building out its delivery and data capability.
They are seeking an Interim Analytics Engineer who can operate end-to-end across the analytics lifecycle: shaping data models, building scalable data warehouses, developing metrics frameworks (including ARR and SaaS KPIs), and producing production-grade analytical outputs that drive commercial decision-making. This role is well suited to someone with a consulting background who is comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and who brings both technical depth and delivery discipline.
You will play a key part in strengthening the firm’s data foundations, enabling repeatable, high-quality analytics for both internal teams and portfolio clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines and data models to support high‐quality analytics across multiple client engagements.
- Develop and scale cloud-based data warehouse solutions, ensuring robust architecture, governance, and documentation.
- Create, refine and automate SaaS performance metrics (including ARR, revenue cohorting, retention, churn and other commercial KPIs).
- Work closely with consultants and client stakeholders to translate commercial questions into scalable analytical solutions.
- Deliver end‐to‐end analytics outputs, from ingestion and transformation through to visualisation and insight delivery.
- Establish repeatable delivery standards, best practice engineering principles, and reusable data assets for the wider team.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or hybrid Data/Analytics practitioner, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Strong end‐to‐end technical capability across SQL, data modelling, warehousing, and pipeline development (any modern stack considered).
- Previous exposure to SaaS or subscription businesses, with a solid understanding of ARR and related commercial metrics.
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-moving, low‐structure environments, with strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Comfortable working on-site in London and travelling to client offices when required.
- Available immediately or at short notice for an interim Outside IR35 engagement.
