Executive Director
Executive Director
(Full Time or Part-Time)
Lead a high profile, fast growing, commercially focussed not-for-profit organisation.
About Us
The National Parking Platform (NPP) is a not-for-profit, open platform that connects multiple parking service providers to thousands of locations nationwide.
Instead of requiring drivers to download multiple apps, the NPP integrates those apps so that drivers can use the app they trust at any location, making parking simple, seamless, and consistent everywhere. The NPP enables a better customer experience while delivering efficiency and value for local authorities and service providers alike.
Created by the Department for Transport and now run independently, the NPP is governed by local authorities, service providers, and the British Parking Association.
As we embark on the next phase of our development, and scale rapidly to achieve true nationwide coverage, we seek an experienced and respected Executive Director to provide strategic leadership.
Role Overview
The Executive Director will serve as the figurehead and operational leader of the organisation, upholding our values and furthering our growing reputation. This pivotal role requires an experienced executive who can translate strategic vision into measurable outcomes, while enhancing the organisation’s stature within both national and local government and within the parking and wider sustainable mobility sectors.

- Represent the organisation at key events, forums, and in the media, reinforcing our reputation and cultivating influential networks.
- Lead and motivate the NPP team and volunteer ambassadors, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Oversee financial management including budgeting and income generation, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources. Ensure resources are used efficiently and within budget.
- Oversee the interpretation of financial and operational performance data, identify trends, risks, and commercial opportunities, and use these insights to ensure the long-term sustainability of the not-for-profit organisation.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders and the broader sustainable mobility community.
