Skills: Unit4 Business World / Agresso ERP (HR & Payroll modules), SQL - basic, excellent communication skills
We are looking to recruit a HR & Payroll Systems Specialist for a leading organisation based in near Liverpool (Widnes). You will join their Application Support team, focusing on ERP and operational business systems - particularly the HR and Payroll modules within Agresso (Unit4 Business World).
This is an exciting opportunity to support both day-to-day operations and ongoing project work, including upgrades and installations. You'll play a key role in supporting business-critical systems, helping the organisation get the most out of their HR and Payroll platforms.
This is a hybrid role and you would be required to work on average on site once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support across the Agresso HR and Payroll modules.
- Investigate and resolve system issues related to payroll processes, workflow definitions, flexi tables, and distribution rules.
- Build and manage system alerts (ideally using SQL - basic read/write capability highly desirable).
- Develop and deliver reports using built-in reporting tools and browser-based interfaces.
- Support project delivery work, including system upgrades and new module installations.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Business Systems and IT Support teams, helping to triage and resolve tickets escalated from the service desk.
About You:
- Strong experience working with ERP systems - Agresso (Unit4) experience is ideal, especially in HR and/or Payroll modules.
- Good understanding of payroll processes and common issues within HR systems.
- Familiarity with SQL - comfortable reading queries, and ideally able to write simple ones.
- Confident working on workflows, alerts, and system configurations.
- Experience supporting or delivering ERP upgrades or installations is a plus.
- A team player who is also comfortable working independently and picking up tasks with minimal supervision.
