The Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Development to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre projects across Europe. This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive experience across the full development lifecycle, from land acquisition and site origination through design, construction, and final delivery.

As VP of Development, you will set the strategic vision for all development activities, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring best-in-class execution. You will be responsible for sourcing, appointing, and managing external design and engineering consultants, as well as driving performance across all project stakeholders.

Working closely with the executive leadership and investment team, you will play a key role in building and scaling a high-performing development function from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle of data centre developments, from site identification and acquisition through to commissioning and handover.
• Define and execute development strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
• Manage and coordinate external consultants, contractors, and project partners.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing internal development team.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across investment, operations, and commercial functions.

Key Requirements:

• Significant leadership experience within the data centre development sector.
• Proven track record delivering new-build data centres from concept through to operation.
• Deep understanding of land acquisition, planning, design, and construction processes.
• Strong network and reputation within the European data centre market.
