Automation test lead with Peoplesoft testing(AR AP)

Role Overview

The Test Lead will play a key client-facing role, responsible for leading quality assurance and test delivery across PeopleSoft and integrating systems. The role will define and own the end-to-end test planning, lead test execution across the Finance workstream, and drive increased automation to support high-quality, predictable delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning

  • Define, own, and deliver the overall test planning and approach for PeopleSoft within the Galileo Programme.
  • Ensure testing aligns with company's quality standards, programme governance, and delivery milestones.
  • Provide clear test status reporting, risk assessment, and quality metrics to programme and client stakeholders.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for testing outcomes within the Finance workstream.

PeopleSoft Test Delivery

  • Lead testing across PeopleSoft Finance modules such as:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Management (AM)
  • Contracts
  • Purchasing / eProcurement
  • Billing
  • Project Costing
  • Travel & Expense (T&E)
  • Validate financial processes - journals, vouchers, payments, reconciliations, asset capitalization, procurement flows, project allocations, invoicing, etc.
  • Test PeopleSoft batch processes (AE, BI, AP, AM jobs), workflow routing, security roles, and financial configuration setups.
  • Perform end-to-end validation of financial integrations (banking, payment gateways, ERP to downstream systems).
  • Support PeopleTools upgrades, PUM updates, and customization validation.
  • Manage and coordinate System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.
  • Ensure integration testing covers upstream and downstream enterprise systems.
  • Support and coordinate business-led UAT with business users.

Test Automation Leadership

  • Define and implement a test automation strategy aligned to the Vertere Programme roadmap and Playwright based framework.
  • Identify and prioritise regression and repeatable test scenarios for automation.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of automated test suites and frameworks.
  • Drive integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Ensure automation assets are reusable, robust, and maintainable.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor onshore and offshore test resources.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Promote collaborative, transparent, and outcome-focused ways of working.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in software testing with strong Test Lead experience.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Financials functionality, tables, batch jobs, and configuration.
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL Server) for financial data validation.
  • Strong client-facing experience on complex transformation programmes.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and data structures.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within healthcare or insurance domains.
  • PeopleSoft automation experience.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience on large-scale ERP or finance/HCM transformations.
