Job purpose

We are seeking a skilled PeopleSoft Test Lead with strong experience in PeopleSoft Financials, specifically in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) modules. The candidate will be responsible for validating system functionality, ensuring financial data accuracy, and supporting end-to-end testing cycles for PeopleSoft implementations and enhancements.

Key responsibilities

1. Functional Testing

Perform end-to-end testing of PeopleSoft Financials modules, especially:

• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Accounts Payable (AP)

Validate business processes such as:

• Invoice generation & billing
• Cash application
• Vendor invoice processing
• Payment processing & reconciliation

2. Test Planning & Execution

Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents

Prepare:

• Test strategy & test plans
• Test scenarios and detailed test cases

Execute:

• Functional testing
• Integration testing
• System testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support

3. Defect Management

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / HP ALM / Azure DevOps
• Work closely with developers and functional consultants to resolve issues
• Perform re-testing and regression testing post-fix

4. Data Validation & Reconciliation

Validate financial transactions and accounting entries

Ensure accuracy of:

• Journal entries
• Sub-ledger to ledger reconciliation
• Financial reports

5. Integration Testing

• Test integrations with:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Procurement / Supply Chain modules
• External systems (banks, payment gateways, etc.)

6. Automation (Good to Have)

• Develop or execute automated test scripts using tools like:
• Selenium
• UFT
• TestComplete

7. Documentation

• Maintain test artifacts:
• Test cases
• Defect logs
• Test execution reports
• Provide status updates and testing metrics

8. Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in PeopleSoft Financials testing
• In-depth knowledge of:
• Accounts Payable (AP) processes:
• Vendor management
• Voucher processing
• Payment cycles
• Accounts Receivable (AR) processes:
• Billing
• Cash receipts
• Collections
• Understanding of SQL for data validation
• Experience with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)

9. Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting principles
• Knowledge of:
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles
• Familiarity with financial compliance and audit requirements

10. Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

11. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.x
• Exposure to PeopleSoft upgrades / implementations
• Experience in Agile methodology
• Certification in software testing (ISTQB) or Finance domain is a plus
