M&A Project Manager– Hampshire – 6 Month Contract (37.5 hours per week) - £650 - £690 Per day (Inside IR35) – SC Clearance

  • As the Integration Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the integration—from planning and execution to tracking progress and outcomes.
  • You’ll guide cross-department teams, engage with stakeholders across the organization, and ensure the integration aligns with the strategic objectives of the deal. This role carries significant responsibility and calls for strong coordination abilities, business insight, and the confidence to lead and motivate others.
  • You’ll play a key role in a major strategic acquisition, collaborating with driven colleagues in a supportive setting. The position offers the freedom to shape integration activities and deliver clear, measurable results.

Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 3 days minimum on site per week.

The Key Responsibilities of a M&A Project Manager:

  • Build and oversee comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and work plans, ensuring visibility of progress at every stage.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including senior leaders across IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and Supply Chain—to achieve integration goals.
  • Serve as the central communication point for all parties, delivering concise, consistent updates to executives and demonstrating strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Anticipate and address potential risks, maintain up-to-date risk documentation, and escalate critical issues when required.
  • Establish and control project scope to ensure it remains aligned with strategic priorities and financial parameters.
  • Offer expert input to keep technical solutions and project objectives clearly connected and in sync.
  • Produce and deliver project reporting and executive-level presentations that communicate status, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Lead initiatives that streamline ways of working and embed standardised integration methods.
  • Ensure the acquired business meets quality benchmarks, regulatory expectations, and security standards throughout the transition.
  • Advocate for the integration mission and values, fostering cultural alignment and collaboration across both organisations.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for a M&A Project Manager, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Demonstrated background in project management, preferably within integration or M&A settings; APM PMQ certification is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of established project management frameworks and practices.
  • Adept at leading cross-department teams and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially aware with sound knowledge of financial performance and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Capable of balancing multiple priorities and delivering in a high-velocity environment.
  • An MBA or comparable professional experience is beneficial.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
  • Able to maintain both strategic perspective and precise attention to technical and operational detail.
  • Experience within Defence or National Security is helpful, though not required.
