Senior Infrastructure Specialist
Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Wiltshire, with expected travel to Birmingham and Loughborough – 6 Month Contract – £445 - £495 per day Inside IR35 – SC Cleared
Our client are a medium sized defence consultancy looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.
They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with 3rd line expertise to join a secure MOD aligned project, providing hands on technical support.
Working Patterns and location – 1-2 days a month in Corsham, Birmingham or Loughborough
The Key Responsibilities of a Senior Infrastructure Engineer:
- Build, configure and support Windows Server infrastructure
- Provide technical support to a small team and escalate issues.
- Deliver 3rd line support within a live service environment.
- Deploy and configure machines using SCCM/MECM
- Create and maintain high quality technical documentation to high level technical standards.
- Evolve operational procedures as the platform expands.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, however you will not be expected to have everything:
- Experience of HP Proliant Server and Storage
- Understanding and application of SSL certificate management (desktop VPN and servers)
- Knowledge and understanding of Windows server security, including implementing CIS benchmarks via GPO on to existing servers
