Remote UK (hybrid possible from Cardiff or London)

Negotiable dependent on experience to £120,000

Our client is seeking a Global Data Lead to support the definition and delivery of the company’s data strategy and to build the central data office that positions data as a strategic asset for the business. This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role that pairs strategic vision with hands-on ownership of data architecture, governance and reporting direction.

Reporting to the VP – Data & AI, you will set the long-term vision for how they collect, manage, govern and derive value from data held in their product. You will own the target data architecture, establish enterprise-wide data governance, and shape their approach to reporting – while managing key suppliers and partnering with stakeholders at every level of the business.

You will build and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary data function, embedding a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making across a global organisation. Your work will directly support their mission to help their clients and contractors get to work faster, stay compliant, and come home safely every day.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience owning enterprise data architecture
  • Cloud knowledge (AWS and/or Azure) and Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong track record establishing and owning data governance frameworks
  • Experience owning operational / business reporting and tooling (e.g., Power BI, Sisense), including customer-facing reporting solutions
  • Commercial acumen to position governed data as a strategic asset and prioritise high-value use cases
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, and a relevant degree in a data, technology or analytical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Above all be a Data Evangelist!
