Active DV clearance required, non-negotiableDatatech Analytics is supporting a leading UK consulting and technology organisation delivering secure, enterprise-scale data platforms across defence, national security and classified government programmes.We're looking to speak with Principal Data Architects who want to take ownership of architecture across complex, high-impact environments where security, scale and performance all matter.The RoleA senior architecture position with real ownership.You'll define and lead the technical direction of large-scale data platforms, working closely with senior stakeholders, engineers and delivery teams across critical transformation programmes.This is not advisory-only. You'll be close to delivery, shaping how platforms are actually built and used.What you'll be doingLeading enterprise data architecture across secure government programmesDesigning end-to-end platforms, from ingestion through to analytics and operational useBuilding secure, scalable architectures for highly classified environmentsTranslating mission requirements into practical, deliverable solutionsGuiding engineering teams through implementationInfluencing architectural strategy and long-term capabilityTechnology environmentYou'll typically be working across:AWS, Azure and Google CloudDatabricks and SnowflakeLake, lakehouse and modern warehouse architecturesDistributed data processing platformsDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and secure deployment patternsData governance, access control and analytics enablementWhat we're looking forActive DV clearanceProven experience designing and delivering enterprise data platformsBackground in defence, national security or secure government environmentsDeep expertise in cloud data architecture and secure platform designStrong stakeholder influence at senior levelExperience leading teams across complex delivery programmesWhy this roleThese programmes sit at the heart of the UK's secure data capability.The platforms you'll shape directly support operational decision-making in highly sensitive environments.
