We’re looking for a highly numerate Technical Project Manager with around 5+ years’ experience, ideally with an earlier background in software development or engineering, who can confidently lead complex technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing multiple technical projects end-to-end, working closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to directly influence technical strategy, processes, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple technical projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Develop and maintain clear project roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage priorities effectively
- Identify risks, opportunities, and areas for process improvement
- Provide structure, leadership, and direction to technical teams
- Monitor progress, optimise workflows, and ensure efficient resource allocation
- Produce clear documentation and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across tools, processes, and delivery standards
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 5+ years’ experience in Technical Project Management
- Previous experience as a software developer or engineer
- Strong technical understanding of software systems and infrastructure
- Experience working closely with engineering and development teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Degree in a technical, engineering, or related discipline
- Database knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
Desirable:
- Experience with version control tools (Git, PlasticSCM, Hg)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as YouTrack
