An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Financial Services organisation at a pivotal time in their data transformation journey. The business is investing in modern cloud technologies, including Databricks, to enhance how Management Information drives strategic decision-making.
We're seeking a Business Intelligence Development Manager with a strong technical foundation and leadership experience to lead a small, skilled team of MI/BI developers. This is a hands-on role that combines development oversight, Agile delivery, and stakeholder collaboration in a fast-paced and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
·Lead, support and develop a small team of developers delivering operational and regulatory reporting solutions.
·Align MI initiatives with the broader Data and Technology roadmap, ensuring consistent strategic direction.
·Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and insight solutions.
·Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and encourage continuous improvement.
·Manage and prioritise workloads using tools like JIRA, ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met.
·Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes, improving efficiency and reducing risk.
·Support the transition to a modern cloud-based environment, including the implementation and use of Databricks.
·Act as a point of escalation for complex data and reporting issues

Key Experience
·Proven experience in reporting development, including strong SQL skills and advanced knowledge of Power BI.
·A solid understanding of relational databases, data architecture, and performance optimisation.
·Experience managing or mentoring technical teams, ideally in an Agile environment.
·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for a non-technical audience.
·Experience working in or alongside operations is highly advantageous.
·Familiarity with cloud data platforms and a keen interest in modern tools such as Databricks.
·A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

What's On Offer
·The opportunity to play a key role in a business-wide data modernisation programme.
·A supportive and flexible working culture.
·A chance to work with a highly collaborative team that values innovation and professional development.
