IT Support Technician

The Role:

Our management platform was designed in house and is being rolled out across a number of our customers.
Based in our Bedfordshire office, as an IT Support Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting our customers and internal users by resolving technical issues, maintaining systems, and assisting with hardware/software setups. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers solutions are always working whilst offering help and support for internal IT issues.
Our customers require a high level of accuracy when dealing with their challenges so attention to detail and a methodical work ethic along with a positive team attitude will see you well.
Because of the nature of our business, we will require the successful candidate to participate in a security background check, Applicants must be UK residents for a minimum of 3 years.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as first-line support for our hardware & software solution, and network issues.
- Set up and maintain user devices (laptops, desktops, our bespoke IT devices, printers).
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights.
- Learn and understand our Cloud platform to provide support.
- Ensure hardware for customers and internal staff is set up correctly.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, diagnose issues, and provide timely solutions.
- Install and update software, ensuring devices are secure and up-to-date.
- Maintain IT documentation and asset records.
- Support both customers and internal users.
- Travel to customers sites my be required where necessary
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (4-5 years of level 2 ideal).
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Linux systems and basic networking.
- Good problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service mindset.
- Ability to manage your time and multitask effectively.
- A strong work ethic for your tasks and helping others in the team where necessary.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Experience with Active Directory and ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk, Jira).
- Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals).
- Familiarity with networking, VPN, Static IP set up and management
