Core Role Requirements
Broad, multi-stack exposure including:
The ideal candidate is a senior, architecture-first technologist with:
- Primary focus: Solution Architect (architecture-led role)
- Ownership: Responsible for engineering delivery and overall solution outcomes
- Acts as a bridge between business, architecture, design, and programme teams
- Operates in a governance/oversight capacity (supplier-led development environment)
- Strong solution architecture experience (primary skillset)
- Ability to translate business needs into working technical solutions
- Comfortable interpreting and guiding software development teams
- Deep understanding of software development (hands-on background essential)
- Must have previously worked at a low-level / detailed engineering level
- Not required to actively code, but must credibly challenge and guide developers
Broad, multi-stack exposure including:
- .NET ecosystem
- Databases (relational + NoSQL e.g. Elastic)
- Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Platforms/infrastructure:
- Linux
- Virtualisation
- Networking
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong customer relationship management
- Effective people management / influencing skills
- Ability to operate in a high-profile role across multiple workstreams
- Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance required – non-negotiable
- Candidates must:
- Hold current, transferable DV clearance
- Have 12 months validity remaining
- Must evidence current DV clearance at the point of submission.
