We are supporting an AI Start-up who are automating property management workflows, from compliance and maintenance to lettings and tenant support, through an AI assistant that autonomously handles up to 80% of administrative tasks.

Built for the UKs regulation-heavy property sector, the platform delivers greater operational capacity, reduced admin costs, and zero missed communications for property management and lettings agencies, while improving tenant safety and satisfaction.

The Role

Were looking for an ambitious and hands-on VP of Engineering to join a fast-growing AI team. The ideal person will combine technical depth with leadership capability, enjoy building scalable products, and thrive in a high-ownership startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical development of AI-powered property management solutions

Write, review, and optimise code while staying close to the engineering process

Manage and grow a team of software and AI engineers

Define technical architecture, standards, and best practices

Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver impactful features quickly

Drive innovation across automation, AI integration, and platform scalability

Ensure reliability, security, and performance across systems

Contribute to strategic and technical roadmap planning

Requirements

Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of proven software engineering experience, ideally within AI, SaaS, or automation

Technical proficiency across Python, Node.js, and modern cloud infrastructure

Prior leadership experience in a high-growth or tech-driven company

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Passion for building products that solve tangible real-world challenges
