Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SQL Server databases, following Microsoft best practices
• Optimise, monitor, and secure database performance
• Extract and deliver business-critical data, generating reports via Microsoft SSRS and Power BI
• Enhance existing SQL code, stored procedures, and core business database objects
• Support and develop applications with C and VB.net; troubleshoot and resolve bugs
• Provide 3rd line and on-call support for systems and data issues
• Advise on best practice in business systems and management information; proactively deliver reporting solutions

Key Skills & Requirements

• Professional experience managing and optimising SQL Server databases
• Strong data extraction, reporting, and troubleshooting skills (Power BI, SSRS)
• Solid experience with C and VB.net for systems support and development
• Excellent customer focus and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Desirable: Awareness of business systems market trends, best practice, and experience working with custom, business-critical applications
