I’m supporting a well-established, global multi-market organisation on a key hire for a Global Data Engineering Lead or Data Engineering Manager to deliver a modern, cloud-first data platform. Moving legacy on-prem Data Platforms to a modern Data Lake (AWS)

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on Snowflake, scalable data pipelines, and migrating from on-prem to cloud, while enabling high-quality, data-driven decision making. This role is more focused on leading the team, guiding decisions and ensuring the right projects are being delivered.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead design and delivery of scalable data pipelines and architecture
• Own Snowflake data warehouse and data lake strategy
• Drive cloud migration and data integration across multiple sources
• Improve data quality, governance, and platform performance
• Partner with Data, BI, and business stakeholders globally

Key requirements:

• Strong data engineering and architecture background (Snowflake preferred)
• Proven ETL/ELT pipeline design and optimisation experience
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
• Strong SQL and programming (Python, Scala, or Java)
• Experience in data governance and quality frameworks

This is a high-visibility role with real influence over a large-scale data transformation programme. Initial 6-month contract
