Lead Architect (Interim / Outside IR35)

Status, Remote - occasional travel - day rate

Length - initial 6 months with potential

Working for a globally recognised brands operating across retail, wholesale and much more with 1000's of physical stores, distribution centres, warehouses to vans on the road covering most of the globe.

This is a unique role for a Lead Architect to work closely with the Head of Architecture and support the Technical Architecture and New Technology teams as they continue to build and deliver new services and solutions.

Role and business cover both build and buy, when they decide to build they use a technology stack focused around AWS, Serverless - so we're really looking for a hands on Lead Architect, who can build out POC's + lead Architects that are doing the same.

Areas of the role include -

• Provide guidance and assurance to Architects, including Technical Architects and Principal Engineers working within Product teams.
• Establish and maintain documentation and modelling standards, including, Event Storming, C4 Modelling, Business Capability Mapping, and AWS diagrams.
• Build out HLD's and POC's
• Support Governance activities including AWS Well-Architected reviews.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders and various product teams

Key experience required -

• Ex-practitioner, coming from a Software Engineering background and moved into Architecture - then leading Technical Architecture
• Experienced in leading teams that develop solutions with technologies including (AWS, Serverless, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Dynamo + TypeScript/Node/React)
• Strong stakeholder experience, and great relationship building skills.
• Experienced in leading teams to deliver live services across recognised brands.

Well suited to a Lead Architect, Architecture Manager or Senior Architect that is still close to the technology
