On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Development Lead - Full Stack for a 6 Month contract based in Dublin -hybrid once a week.

Job description - the role

Purpose of the role:
* We are seeking a seasoned Development Lead with a strong full-stack background to lead a cross-functional engineering team. This role requires hands-on development expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to bridge front-end and back-end teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

What you'll do:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of front-end and back-end developers in an Agile environment.
• Guide integration efforts between front-end (React, CSS) and back-end (Java, Spring) components.
• Collaborate with architects to translate high-level architectural designs into detailed technical solutions.
• Contribute to development activities (~25% hands-on coding).
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (~20%) including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Drive technical excellence, code quality, and best practices across the team.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure seamless deployment and integration on AWS infrastructure.

The skills you'll need:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in a Development Lead or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Front-End: React, CSS, JavaScript
  • Back-End: Java, Spring Framework
• Solid understanding of system integration and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
