Senior Full Stack Engineer - PHP/React/AWS
Senior Full Stack Developer – PHP/React/AWS
Location: Bracknell (3 days per week in office) | Salary: £70,000-80,000 + bonus
We are hiring for an retail/eCommerce business which is scaling and driving sales through digital channels. Now it’s accelerating further, investing in the technology platform that underpins their offering. It’s the kind of environment where the work you do is visible, the pace is fast, and there’s genuine opportunity to shape what comes next.
The development team has a clear focus on quality of the work they do and the products they build. There’s a strong appetite to raise standards, adopt modern practices, and build something the team is proud of. This is a place where a senior developer can have real influence — mentoring peers, championing best practices, and contributing to the technical direction of the platform rather than just executing tickets.
You’ll be working across the full stack, designing, developing, and optimising both front-end and back-end systems on a modern tech stack: PHP/Laravel, React/NextJS, MySQL, AWS microservices, and a CI/CD pipeline managed through GitHub and Jira. Beyond the code, you’ll be a key voice in code reviews, sprint planning, and the ongoing evolution of the architecture — including supporting the transition to microservices on AWS. Security is taken seriously here, and you’ll be expected to apply and uphold OWASP standards as a matter of course.
We want someone with strong, proven hands-on experience at senior level — comfortable with the full stack, confident on AWS, and with a genuine understanding of secure development practices. As important as the technical depth is the ability to mentor and lift the people around you. Experience with containerisation, serverless architecture, or Agile tooling such as Jira is a plus, but the core requirement is someone who sets high standards, communicates well, and takes ownership of the quality of what they ship.
If you’re a senior developer who wants more than just a coding role — someone who wants to help shape engineering culture and grow in a fast-moving eCommerce business — we’d love to hear from you. The role is based in Bracknell with three days per week in the office, and offers a salary of £70,000–£800,000 plus bonus.
