Project Manager
Location: Swansea (Hybrid)
Salary: £42,848 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%
Contract Type: Permanent - Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the delivery of programmes, projects or work streams. You may lead medium-risk/medium-complexity projects yourself, or form part of a wider team supporting the delivery of larger projects or programmes.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Day-to-day management and leadership of the project and the project team for the projects they are responsible for delivering. Set project controls.
- Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships.
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.

About you
You will have an understanding of change management in either an operational or a project environment, with an awareness of how to use the appropriate tools and techniques effectively.
We are looking for people with a broad range of change delivery and technology experience, whether this is from a business change or change management role, from delivering technology change or through delivering IT services directly to customers. Previous experience of working in a recognised project delivery environment is preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates who have relevant experience in delivering change and have a desire to move into Project Management.
You will have exceptional communication skills and engage stakeholders comfortably. You are a highly resilient person who handles change well and naturally adapts to changing workloads and environments. You have experience balancing priorities and dealing with ambiguity, and enjoy having autonomy in your role, taking the lead organising and prioritising tasks, being a confident, efficient and an independent thinker.You enjoy managing a varied and challenging workload; having the capability and confidence to not only provide project support for large scale projects but to also take the lead on medium scale projects.
