As an Oracle EBS Developer, you will be a technical specialist and role model for application development, driving best practice and supporting the delivery of secure, resilient and high performing applications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve service quality, resolve complex challenges and contribute to the continuous evolution of our technology estate.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Digital Payment Services team within DWP Digital, helping to shape the future of payment services across government. Working on the Central Payment System (CPS) Application Development Work Programme, you will contribute to business critical initiatives, deliver complex technical solutions and support the development of modern digital services that are transforming the payments landscape for millions of people across the UK.

You will assist in the design of Application services ensuring alignment with Architecture and Engineering principles. With a focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality you will be accountable for Application solutions.
Specifically, you will be working on the Central Payments System, a customised Oracle e-Business suite application that supports Payments and Accounting for the Departments Benefits systems, you will be required to maintain, support and develop some complex customisations and interfaces to the core Oracle system

Salary Information
Pay for this role is from 57,946 to 68,205.
Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience asdemonstratedat interview.
Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer willmaintaintheir current substantive salary.
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or receive a 10% increaseapplied to their current substantive salary, whichever is greater.
Any temporary allowances that you are currently in receipt of will not form part of the calculation todetermineyour pay. Any allowances that are in payment will cease when you move into your new role.

- Demonstrable experience as an Oracle Developer with in-depth knowledge of E-Business Suite Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payments, Sub-Ledger Accounting, and Cash Management.
- Extensive experience of c ollaborating with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to review requirements and uses these along with agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity.
- Able to co-ordinate build activities and understands how to support testing activities, including functional, integration and performance.
- Excellent problem solving skills; able to quickly identify patterns across huge volumes of data to identify root cause analysis of high priority incidents/issues and propose appropriate resolution.
- Extensive experience delivering robust Oracle E-Business Suite solutions, including SQL/PLSQL development, OAF personalisation and extensions, Oracle Reports/XML Publisher, APIs, interfaces, web-service integrations, workflow configuration and performance tuning to support secure and scalable enterprise applications.
