Location: Occupational Health, Alfreton Fire Station, Alfreton

Salary: Grade F, Salary £37,280 per annum (pro-rata to 18.5 hours - £18,640 per annum)

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, preferably Tuesday-Thursday. You may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours.

Agile working arrangements can be discussed with the successful candidate.

Over recent months, we have been reviewing the HR service delivery model to ensure the department is equipped to meet the evolving needs of our Service. As a result, we are realigning parts of the structure creating two new roles of Resourcing Manager and Systems Administrator/Team Leader. Existing roles of HR Assistant and Service Centre Assistant are now being recruited to following the review.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a proactive, solution-focussed Systems Administrator/Team Leader to develop and enhance our OH system and lead a small administration team.

About the role:

Working within the OH team and with IT professionals, you will:

  • Maintain, configure, test and improve the OH system (OPAS G2).
  • Produce, validate and interpret data, reports and management information.
  • Provide user support, training and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and secure handling of sensitive information.
  • Lead service improvements through innovation and effective system use.
  • Liaise with the external system provider and internal IT team to resolve issues and support development.
  • Support, coach and develop the OH Administrators to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

  • Understanding of management information systems and how data is structured.
  • Maintenance and development of information systems, databases, procedures and reports.
  • Manipulation and validation of data.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, data protection and data storage.
  • Ability to identify new ways of working and drive improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective solutions.
  • GCSE Maths and English (A–C / Level 4+ or equivalent).
  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration, or equivalent experience.
