Technical Specialist (Replacement Mobilising System)
Location: Based at Ilkeston Community Fire Station with other locations on an as required basis
Hours: 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours. Agile working arrangements can be discussed with the successful candidate.
Salary: Grade G £41,771– £47,181 per annum

About the Role :
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service are looking for a Technical Specialist experienced in designing the installation and integration of end points with large-scale business system solutions You will have responsibilities in all phases of the project lifecycle for a new Replacement Mobilising Solution and its components.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of working on large IT projects including all phases of the project life cycle to implement technical solutions.
- Evidence of Technical analysis skills
- Evidence of Network and Telephony configuration and design
- Evidence of installing Hardware and Operating Systems
- Experience of working with and implementing Cloud based environments e.g Azure
Essential
- Educated to degree level in Computing or related subject or equivalent demonstrable experience and training relevant to the role
- Willingness, interest and aptitude to keep up to date and learn software and hardware systems as required
- Demonstrate evidence of continual professional development and competence
Desirable
- ITIL foundation qualification
There will be a requirement for some travel around the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire region for which a pool car can be provided.
The normal working week is 37 hours however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours.
