Digital Project Manager
We’re looking for an experienced freelance Project Manager to work across two concurrent client projects:
- A digital portal build
- A game / interactive development project
The PM will be responsible for day-to-day delivery, coordination, and client management across both digital workstreams — ensuring projects stay on track, within scope, and are delivered to a high standard.
This role requires someone confident managing complex digital builds, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams (design, development, API’s, content, UX, etc), and able to flex between creative and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Across both clients
- Owning digital delivery timelines, milestones, and dependencies
- Build and manage sprints and release schedules
- Run the digital stand-ups, planning sessions, and status meetings
- Manage risks, issues, scope changes, and dependencies proactively of the portal/game
- Ensure clear documentation and shared understanding across teams
- Track progress against scope, budget, and time
- Escalate issues clearly and constructively when needed
- Coordinate with Project and Account Leads
Portal Build
- Manage delivery of a multi-feature digital portal (e.g. login areas, dashboards, content modules, integrations)
- Coordinate across UX, design, front-end, back-end, and QA
- Keep delivery aligned with user needs, functional requirements, and business goals
- Ensure smooth sign-off, UAT, and launch planning
Game / Interactive Development Project
- Coordinate designers, developers, and technical specialists
- Manage iteractive builds, testing, QA, and feedback cycles
- Ensure interactive mechanics, user flows, and technical requirements are clearly documented and delivered
- Experience working with agile or sprint-based game/dev environments is a plus
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on digital builds
- Strong background in web platforms, portals, or application development
- Experience managing interactive, game, or experiential projects (or closely related work)
- Confident working with technical teams and translating requirements
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Practical experience with project management tools (Trello, SmartSheets, Float, Monday.)
- Calm, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
Nice to Have
- Experience with young-people centric projects
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Exposure to interactive frameworks (not essential)
- Previous experience juggling multiple clients simultaneously
start asap - FTC 6 months
appro. £300 per day or equiv salary plus bens
some onsite but flex 2days per week rest remote
