We're looking for a Service Designer to join one of our fast-paced innovation engagements, working cross-functionally with business, technology, and product teams to create and test new service propositions.

You'll be working within a financial institution, but as part of a startup-like innovation team alongside a venture lead and a creative technologist. You must be confident working independently across the innovation funnel—from framing early ideas in ambiguity through to enabling scalable service delivery.

Would you like to...

  • Uncover the competitive landscape and market fit for new propositions
  • Apply systems thinking to identify interdependencies and create optimized ecosystems that balance user, business, and technology priorities
  • Challenge existing assumptions with behavioral insight and design expertise to ensure new propositions integrate with and augment users' day-to-day lives and mental models
  • Analyse and synthesize field and desk research data to identify key insights, and translate them into service concepts
  • Ground business decision-making with an evidence-based approach across technical capabilities, customer priorities, and market strategy
  • Own service mapping and documentation across systems, processes, roles, and priorities
  • Work closely with the client's technical team to push what's possible while balancing feasibility

We would like you to have...

  • Extensive experience working as a Service Designer
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, manage complexity, and work across multiple layers of an organization or service
  • Comfort working at a startup pace—testing and pivoting when needed
  • Experience in the financial sector and collaborating closely with emerging technology and technical teams to drive innovation
  • Proactive mindset with excellent organizational and time management skills, and comfort iterating and pivoting quickly
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills—not only weaving the story but telling it in a way that ensures comprehension and buy-in
  • Ability to work from London and co-locate at client offices three times a week
