Trading System Engineer - Rates & Credit Fixed Income
Position Overview Job Title Trading System Engineer - Rates and Credit Fixed Income Location London Corporate Title Assistant Vice President/Vice President You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows. You will be involved in building solutions across the stack and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade. - Develop a suite of Modern, Real-Time, High-Performance micro-services to support core Rates and Credit trading workflows
- Collaborate with engineers across the stack to design and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Engage Directly with Business Stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency
- Good understanding of Programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling and concurrency programming. Experience with reactive programming models is a plus
- Experience with microservice concepts and frameworks, including event-driven architectures, with a desire to build deeper expertise
- Experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs, with foundational knowledge of SQL and relational database design, plus exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Awareness of UI constraints and experience with React and Typescript is a plus
