The team develops products that make the experience of finding a home better, quicker, and more enjoyable for users. This role goes beyond testing
- it is about championing quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will help prevent defects rather than just find them, embed quality throughout the process, and support the team in delivering robust, secure, accessible, and user-friendly systems. Key Responsibilities: Actively participate in refinement sessions, contributing to acceptance criteria, risk assessments, release and monitoring details. Support planning and estimation by identifying test efforts and dependencies. Review requirements for gaps, user impact, risks, and interdependencies. Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure inclusive, accessible feature delivery. Pair with developers during implementation to ensure test coverage and reduce duplication. Design, develop, and execute test cases for web applications built with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript. Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks for efficiency, resilience, and relevance. Investigate issues using logs, monitoring tools, and databases to identify root causes. Contribute to QA ceremonies such as bug triage and backlog reviews. Actively share knowledge and contribute to the wider QA community. Use test metrics to identify opportunities for cross-discipline process improvement. Key Skills & Experience: Testing Java applications with modern front-end frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript). Working in agile environments with continuous release cycles. Complex, Java-based microservices architectures. Debugging and running automated test suites. API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
