Workforce Information Analyst

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a process-oriented, enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our small and busy Workforce Information team. Working directly with senior leads in Workforce and across the Organisations, you will manage provision of certain aspects of information / reporting and work closely with our Senior Workforce Information Analyst to deliver other requirements in partnership. You will be working alongside our Senior Workforce Information Analyst for a period of up to 12 months covering the current postholder's internal secondment.

In this unique role, you will work with the Senior Workforce Information Analyst to help with the Extraction, Load and Transformation (ETL) process of Workforce data from the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and Healthroster systems to create / update various Workforce reports. This will be using a wide variety of tools such as R Studio, SQL (including subqueries / CTEs), Power BI and Excel. There is a wide support network available to you with various subject matter experts (SMEs) in these areas.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the role are provision of high-quality and timely workforce information, managing both a scheduled report timeline and delivery of ad-hoc queries such as Freedom of Information requests.

You will hold responsibility for certain of our scheduled reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring delivery in a timely way with accurate data sets and validated information. You will also be responsible for answering some ad-hoc queries, working within the team mailbox to manage responses and allocation of work.

There will be some elements of development work as we move forward with our workforce reporting into a more interactive and focused presentation rather than purely spreadsheets. This may involve some development of Power BI Dashboards.
