Candidates should demonstrate:
- Several years of experience in relevant roles such as project management, product management, or operations management.
- Consideration will also be given to data professionals who can show strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
AI Expertise
Candidates should have hands-on experience in data and AI, ideally having worked as a data analyst or data scientist.
They should demonstrate:
- A solid grasp of AI technologies, data processing, and the AI lifecycle.
- Proficiency with SQL and cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Core Responsibilities
Programme Management
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver AI/ML programme objectives on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage programme plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with individual project goals.
- Ensure data assets and models are discoverable and reusable across multiple initiatives.
- Track programme performance, manage risks, and remove delivery roadblocks.
AI/ML Delivery & Agile Leadership
The AI Programme Manager will:
- Drive continuous improvement of AI/ML development processes across the organisation.
- Ensure Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) are run effectively.
- Remove impediments and protect delivery teams (data scientists, engineers, analysts) from unnecessary distractions.
- Coach teams on Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Data Driven Scrum.
- Act as a servant leader, supporting both the well-being and professional growth of team members as they integrate into the programme.
