Business Development Associate
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager at Dévorer, you will support existing client and operator relationships while forming new partnerships across universities, catering operators, councils, landlords, and institutional partners.
This role requires someone with a strong sales background, excellent organisation, willingness to travel frequently, and confidence working with data, SaaS tools, CRM systems, ML, and LLMs.
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (plus performance-based incentives)
Candidate Profile & Responsibilities
- Strong sales and business development background, ideally within contract catering, hospitality, foodservice, and/or SaaS
- Support and strengthen existing client, operator, and partner relationships
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities across universities, catering operators, councils, landlords, and institutional clients
- Very comfortable using Canva and Figma for visual presentations
- Work with AI and ML-supported data analysis systems
- Manage CRM and workflow systems such as Monday.com, HubSpot, Salesforce, Airtable, or Notion
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and data teams to align campaigns, activations, and service delivery
- At least intermediary-level understanding of AI, LLMs, ML systems, automation tools, SaaS platforms, and data-driven operational infrastructure
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage long institutional sales cycles involving procurement, commercial, estates, and operational stakeholders
- Experience or interest in SaaS, analytics
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, comfortable operating within a fast-growing startup environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across the UK for meetings, site visits, activations, and industry events
- Strong interest in hospitality innovation, consumer behaviour, food trends, sustainability, and data-led operations
- Existing network across hospitality, catering, higher education, councils, or commercial real estate would be highly advantageous
