Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Payments Innovation / Fintech

We’re partnering with a fast-scaling global platform at the forefront of digital commerce, processing billions in transactions annually. As they enter their next phase of growth, they’re hiring a COO with deep expertise in modern payments ecosystems and fintech innovation.

This is a high-impact CEO-partner role for someone who has built and scaled payments infrastructure, products, or operations in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

What you’ll own:

• Turn strategy into execution across a payments-first, product-led business
• Optimise payment flows, checkout performance, and merchant experience
• Drive efficiency across processing, costs, and partner economics
• Lead complex initiatives across compliance, integrations, and payment expansion
• Partner with Product & Engineering on next-gen payments and platform capabilities
• Embed AI-driven automation across operations and workflows
• Build and scale a high-performing, distributed fintech organisation

What you bring:

• Senior leadership experience in payments, fintech, or payment-led SaaS
• Deep knowledge of acquiring, gateways, orchestration, fraud, and disputes
• Experience working with PSPs, card networks, and banking partners
• Track record of scaling payments products or infrastructure in high-growth environments
• Strong commercial instincts with a focus on unit economics and margin optimisation
• Experience operating in regulated, compliance-heavy environments (PCI, etc.)
• Hands-on use of AI, automation, and workflow tooling to drive scale
