About the Role
We now have an opportunity for a Corporate Communications Team Manager to lead, manage and deliver the corporate internal and external communications portfolio.
This role plays a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s reputation across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. This role manages a team of experienced communications professionals, who are responsible for wide ranging internal and external communications activities. The role is also the designated product owner for key communications systems and platforms, including the intranet, website and email marketing platform.
Diamond is in the process of migrating its intranet and external website onto new platforms. In the medium term, i.e. the next two to three years, this role will be the project manager for both migrations.
You will project manage the migration of both the external Diamond website and current intranet, both on a custom CMS, to WordPress and SharePoint-based platforms respectively by the end of 2027. This will be a major project, requiring significant internal stakeholder and contractor management, as well as content consolidation, to ensure that the platforms meet Diamond’s strategic needs.
As well as:
· Manage and coordinate Diamond’s corporate communications activities, coordinating priorities and resource within the Corporate Communications Team.
· Develop and implement the Corporate Communications Team strategy as part of the wider Communications and Engagement strategy alongside the Engagement Team Manager and the Head of Communications, Engagement and Impact.
· Take ownership and technical management of all public facing websites (the main Diamond website plus a selection of additional websites special initiatives); editorial management is led by the Web and Digital Content Manager and content on certain sections of the website is administered by relevant internal stakeholders.
· Centralised management and stakeholder coordination of the Diamond intranet; editorial management is led by the Internal Communications Manager and content on individual sites is administered by relevant internal stakeholders.
· Collate all metrics and analyses relating to internal and external communications to demonstrate the delivery of the portfolio against the Communications and Engagement strategy.
· Support the editorial programme, which is managed by the Web and Digital Content Manager, prioritising editorial requirements for the website, social media, press/media relations and wider external presence. This includes supporting with copywriting and PR liaison as required.
· Lead on corporate branding, managing Diamond’s identity guidelines and updating them as required
About You
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with demonstrable work experience in the field of science and/or corporate communication.
Experience and knowledge in the following areas are essential:
· Managing the operational delivery of complex or communications projects, specifically website and intranet migrations and/or refreshes.
· Digital communications, stakeholder, and audience engagement.
· Building audiences and managing websites and social media accounts with a digital first approach.
· Managing a SharePoint intranet.
· Line Management
· Web content management systems.
· Communications platforms and systems, i.e. social media management, digital asset management, email marketing, etc.
