Junior Digital Engineer

We are supporting one of the Big Four Financial Services Firms with a Junior Digital Engineer opportunity.

You will join a structured academy programme where you’ll receive training and hands-on experience, progressing through different levels while being placed on client projects to build real-world skills.

This role is ideal for school leavers or graduates looking to start a career in technology, with a focus on problem-solving, systems, and data.

The Role

As a Junior Digital Engineer, you’ll support the monitoring, maintenance and improvement of technology solutions used by clients.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, helping to identify issues, support fixes, test changes, and contribute to new solutions.

This is a varied role that blends elements of support, analysis, testing and development - perfect for someone who enjoys learning and getting stuck into different types of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems and technology solutions to ensure they are running correctly
  • Support with resolving issues (e.g. restarting processes, re-running tasks, basic fixes)
  • Assist with investigating more complex technical problems alongside senior engineers
  • Support the testing of new features, updates or system changes
  • Help document processes, updates and system activity clearly and accurately
  • Assist with data collection, reporting and analysis
  • Contribute to improving processes and identifying ways of working more efficiently
  • Support project teams with coordination, tracking and updates where required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people at the very early stages of their career who are keen to learn and develop in a technical environment.

  • Some customer service experience (retail, hospitality, contact centre etc.)
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Good attention to detail and organisation
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • An interest in technology, systems or data
  • A degree or studies in a related area (e.g. IT, business, psychology, social sciences)
  • Any exposure to data, reporting or process-based work
