Business Analyst

Business Analyst — Life & Pensions Migration

Permanent · Remote‐first

The Opportunity

Life & Pensions migrations are some of the most technically and operationally demanding programmes in UK financial services. At DigX, this is all we do — and we need a Business Analyst who's already been in the room when things get complicated.

If you've navigated the intersection of pension products, legacy data, and regulated delivery, and you know the difference between documentation and genuine assurance, this role was built around people like you.

What You'll Be Doing

Working across complex transformation programmes, you'll provide the oversight and analytical rigour that keeps migrations controlled, compliant, and on track. Day to day, that means:

  • Shaping migration approaches, governance structures, and timelines alongside programme and technical teams
  • Leading data mapping, validation, and integrity checks that give stakeholders real confidence
  • Overseeing integrations between legacy and target platforms — ensuring business and regulatory requirements are genuinely met, not just signed off
  • Acting as the trusted bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, turning complexity into clear, actionable direction
  • Identifying risks and dependencies early, proposing mitigations, and escalating with the right level of detail
  • Producing high-quality artefacts: migration requirements, data specifications, and assurance reporting that people actually use

What You Bring

Essential:

  • Hands-on Life & Pensions experience — you understand pension products, operational processes, and regulatory constraints from having worked in them
  • A proven track record as a BA on large-scale migration or integration programmes within financial services
  • Confidence working with data models and engaging technical teams — you don't need to write the code, but you need to follow the conversation
  • The ability to translate technical complexity into plain language for stakeholders at any level
  • Composure under pressure and clarity in ambiguous environments
  • Practical proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and platforms like Confluence or Azure DevOps

Advantageous:

  • Experience with auto-enrolment or similar regulated change programmes
  • Exposure to third-party or vendor environments within financial services
  • Professional certification (BCS, IIBA, or equivalent)

Why DigX

  • Domain depth, not breadth. We work exclusively in complex, regulated financial services — your Life & Pensions expertise carries genuine weight here.
  • Remote-first, not remote-only. Flexibility by default, with occasional travel to our Stafford or Telford offices when in-person collaboration adds real value.
  • Progression that's planned, not promised. Clear development pathways supported by experienced practitioners who've done this work themselves.
  • Low bureaucracy, high trust. We care about outcomes and expertise — not process for its own sake.
  • A team that takes the work seriously, not themselves. Collaborative culture, regular company events, and people who genuinely invest in each other.
