Founding Software Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Founding Software Engineer to join an early-stage AI company and help build a real product used by real customers.

You'll have end-to-end ownership - from shaping ideas and designing solutions to shipping to production and iterating with customer feedback.

You'll work closely with the CTO / Head of Engineering and be one of the engineers defining the technical bar, culture, and product direction.

Team: 6 engineers, scaling to 12–15

What You'll Do

• Own product features end to end: design, implementation, deployment, and iteration
• Build production-grade systems with Python and LLM integrations
• Turn real customer problems into scalable technical solutions
• Work closely with product, operations, and customers
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards
• Help shape team culture and ways of working as an early engineer

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level software engineer (founding / early-stage experience is a big plus)
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into real products
• Strong backend experience (Python preferred)
• Comfortable working directly with customers
• High ownership, independence, and maturity

Location

• On-site in London, 5 days per week (mandatory)
• Visa sponsorship available for strong international candidates
