About the Role

Digital Division are looking for a talented and eager Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will be part of a small yet dynamic company. The role is a hybrid remote / onsite role. Digital Division’s office is based in Hackney Wick, London.

Responsibilities

• Digital Division is migrating its reporting solution to AWS (Redshift & Lambda).
• Reporting directly to the CTO and working closely with the Digital Division staff, you will have responsibility for ensuring the steady and consistent running of our reporting service in its entirety.
• You will be responsible for the smooth running of the data ETL process.
• Along with maintaining business-critical reports, the creation of new reports and analysis to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Work closely with the Product Owners to fully understand the requirements and business objectives.
• Work with the CTO and dev teams to access operational data.
• Own and extend the ETL process (Python & Lambda).
• Expertise in RedShift and SQL (materialized views, stored procedures etc).
• Excellent communication verbal and written, being able to operate at all levels.
• Understand people to build good relationships with colleagues.
• Enjoys learning the business context and working closely with stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Strong team and stakeholder communication, problem solver, a self-sufficient individual with an ability to constructively address issues.
• Strong Python experience.
• Expertise in SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
• Experience with reporting tools (visualisation layer) for presenting data as information (e.g. Google Looker Studio).
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in iGaming a positive but not essential.
